- Malpighian corpuscles are also referred to as "Renal corpuscles".
- The Malpighian corpuscles (Renal corpuscles) consist of the following parts :- Glomerular capsule, Glomerulus.
- The Bowman's capsule is two layered.
- The Bowman's capsule is named after the British physician- "Sir William Bowman" (1862-92)
- The outer parietal layer of the Bowman's capsule is a simple squamous epithelium.
- The inner visceral layer of the Bowman's capsule consists of "Podocytes".
- Podocytes are special, less flattened cells.
