Malpighian corpuscles are found in the Renal cortex of the kidneys.

  • Malpighian corpuscles are also referred to as "Renal corpuscles".

  • The Malpighian corpuscles (Renal corpuscles) consist of the following parts :- Glomerular capsule, Glomerulus.

  • The Bowman's capsule is two layered.

  • The Bowman's capsule is named after the British physician- "Sir William Bowman" (1862-92)

  • The outer parietal layer of the Bowman's capsule is a simple squamous epithelium.

  • The inner visceral layer of the Bowman's capsule consists of "Podocytes".

  • Podocytes are special, less flattened cells.
