Answer: 1907

Explanation: Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar or Babasaheb Ambedkar as widely known was born on 14th April 1891 to father Ramji Maloji Sakpal and mother Bhimabai Sakpal. His father was a Subedar in army.  Babasaheb was born in a dalit (Mahar caste) family which were considered as untouchables, made him face both social and economic discrimination.

He was a social reformer, scholar and a leader who devoted his entire life in eliminating inequality ( both socially and economically) in India. He advocated for equal opportunity for all backward class and even fought for the rights of women and labor.

He passed his matriculation in 1907 and the very next year following year took admission in Elphinstone College, thereby becoming the first Mahar caste to achieve it.

He later went on to become India`s first minister of law and justice post independence and was also appointed Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee. He was handed over the responsibilities by the Constituent Assembly to draft the Constitution of India.

He died on 6th December 1956
