Thanks for asking the question.
Answer::
Tinkathia is the cultivation system which was followed in Champaran.
Option C) is the correct answer.
The Britishers had imposed a system called tinkathia in the Champaran district of Bihar. In this system , the tenant farmers were forced to grow indigo (which is a blue dye) in three kathas of every bigha (three out of twenty parts of their land).
The landlords would enforce this system through their agents, called gumasta, who followed strict rules and used brutal ways on farmers to make them work . As usual the farmers were poorly compensated for their Indigo crops and if they refused to plant indigo then as punishment they had to face heavy taxation and also were beaten up.
Hope it helps!
