Explanation:

Majority of the people are not aware of the amount of plastic in ocean.

The reason for the issue is lack of awareness. People do not care where their waste ends up ? They are least concerned about the fate of the plastic they just discarded in the ocean or on the beech.

Major culprits are the multinational cooperation who can change the material for their packaging to resolve the issue, but that is a long term goal.

Short term goals are to create awareness among the masses about the issue. Show them pictures of marine life suffering due to the carelessness.

Not many people are aware of the plastic in ocean. Only environmentalists or people who work for the conversation of the environment are aware about it.

According to oceancrusaders shoppers worldwide are using approximately 500 billion single-use plastic bags per year.

The problem with most of the plastics is their toxicity, strength, and the ability to last long in all types of weather or climate conditions. Plastic bags would not be as dangerous if they would decompose on their own.

Though they are quite useful to human beings, but they are very dangerous for environment and animals. The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration has confirmed plastic debris kills approximately 100,000 marine mammals every year, as well as millions of birds and fishes.

The need of the hour is to replace plastic with environmental friendly materials. All of us need to join our hands to fight this menace and preserve our beautiful environment. We must stop using plastic altogether. The governments of various nations, including our national Government have launched anti-plastic campaigns. We can make these campaigns successful by saying ‘NO TO PLASTIC’. Let's join hands in this fight against plastic. Let's beat the plastic pollution.
