Bulbs :-

Number of bulbs = 2

Power of each bulb = 50 watt

Power (in kW) = 0.05 kW

Time of usage = 4 hours a day

Energy consumed by each bulb in one day will be :-

4 \times 0.05 = 0.2kwh

Total energy consumption by two bulbs in one day is

2 \times 0.2 = 0.4kwh

Energy consumption in 30 days will be:-

30 \times 0.4 = 12kwh

 \rule{200}{4}

Fans:-

Number of fan = 2

Power of each fan = 50 watt

Power (in kW) = 0.05 kW

Time of usage = 10 hours a day

Energy consumed by each fan in one day will be :-

0.05 \times 10 = 0.5kwh

Energy consumed by two fans will be 1kwh

Energy consumption in 30 days will be :-

1 \times 30 = 30kwh

 \rule{200}{4}

Total energy consumption by two things will be :-

12 + 30 = 42kwh

 \rule{200}{4}

We know that

1 \: unit = 1kwh

Thus,

Total energy consumption in 30 days will be as follows :-

 = 42 \: units

 \rule{200}{4}
