There r many sources of energy. They r solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy, etc. Increase in the demand for energy affects the environment. Because of human exploitation, many resources r completed and many species r exhausted. Due to more use of non renewable resources, they get over and we won't be having enough, for example coal and petroleum. In the next 50 years, we will not be having fossil fuels and even energy will be reduced. Because energy is produced by the nature and we can't demand for it.

yes Increase in demand for energy affects the environment.

as rhe population is increasing the demand for energy lime electricity is also increasing. so the coal which is a fossil fuel is being used up more. and by using more coal it there is a lot of pollution in the environment. burning coal is very harmful for the environment as it produces poisonous gases in the environment which when inhaled causes asthma, cough, wheezing in children and many more health disorders.

also it produces tiny soot particles which remain suspended in the air for long time.
