Increase in unemployment is an indicator of depressed economy as unemployment basically leads to the fall in the number of people working. This ultimately results into less profit for the company. If it was a international trading company then it would have to undergo several losses due to ill management. The company would have to ask for money (loans) from the larger companies or there could be chances that the larger companies might take away or buy the shattered company as its own branch.
