. Nominal head (President) and a Real head (Prime Minister)

• Collective responsibility of executive to the legislature

• Only the members of the parliament can become a minister(executive), although a person can be directly appointed as a minister, but they need to be elected as a member of either house of the Parliament within 6 months, otherwise the person so appointed will cease to be a minister

• PM can dissolve the lower house i.e., Loksabha

• NO checks and balances in the organs of the government
