India has around 7500 km long coastlinesurrounded by Indian ocean , Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal , thus providing a geo-political and economic significance. This is advantageous because the trade can be done from here. From all the three sides, trade can be done to any part of the country.

Again, long coastline helps ports to grow . Transport via sea route is a good option for the people in some areas.

The coastline is also the source for fishermen to earn their living.

Coastline can be also used to harness wind power and it is pollution free.

Long coastal line benefits by India by giving a prominent position at the top of Indian ocean

Hope it helps
