There are many minerals available in India.Iron, Aluminium,Copper,Gold are available in large quantity. This is also the reason behind attracting foreign invasions. Britishers were also attracted towards this land rich in minerals and they carried huge mineral from India to Europe too which was needed for inventing machines and giving pace to industrial revolution .
Now when we think about the distribution of these minerals,we'll find that it is not uniform everywhere.Jharkhand is famous for minerals .Large amount of iron and other minerals are there in this state. While next to it i.e. in Bihar there's not much mineral. So ,the reason being those areas having hills and stones are rich in mineral .

India is fortunate to have fairly rich and varied mineral resources however they are unevenly distributed. These can be given in the following points-

i) orissa, jharkhand and Maharashtra have very rich deposits of bauxite, iron ore, coal but they are not available in other parts of india.

ii) some parts of india have very high availability of water as these area receives less rainfall but the population is less so they didnot suffer from water scarcity like kerala, maharashtra and mostly the southern part of india.

iii) but arunachal is suffering from water scarcity as it is very high land areas but there is not the availability of water.

These are the main reasons for the uneven distribution of minerals in india.
