due to the himalayan mountain in our north the  monsoon not pass it and it rain in india if the mountain will be absent then the monsoon cloud pass our country and then our country should have been arid. himalaya alo acts barrier for cloud and not let the cloud pass over itself.

India is not considered as an Arid land due to its rich flora and fauna acompanies by its water reserves..
An Arid land is the complex word for a desert. Though India may have That desert, it occupies minimum space and our country is mainly dominated by plains an plateaus..
