◼ India was free in 15 August 1947.
◼ The first prime minister of India after Freedom is Pt. Jawahar lal nehru.
◼ There are two national festival of India
1) Republic day :- It is celebrated on 26 January every year.
2) Independence day:- It is celebrated on 15 August every year because on 15 August 1947 India become free from British Raj.
◼ On 15 August the children carry tri-colour flag in their hand and heading with zeal toward their in morning in school.
◼ We celebrated this day in order to pay honour to countless Indian citizen.
◼ India become independent from British after 200 years.
◼ the first Prime Minister of free India celebrated this occasion by hoisting the Tricolour National Flag at the Red Fort which later became the tradition.
◼ Even though, it’s celebrated at a grand level in all the States and the Union Territories; but in the capital City Delhi, it is celebrated in a very special manner.
