Indian constitution has provided for single citizenship which is useful for maintaining the security of the nation. some countries even provide dual  citizenship. but, this allows any other outsider to come inside the borders and raise a threat to the country through terrorist activities. this keeps the citizens' life at stake.so, maintaining a single citizenship is beneficial for India.
