The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has proposed a new plan (three-language formula) for Class X Board Exams. The ministry of Human Resource Development said that the proposal, under which students would have to study two Indian languages up to Class X, will not be applicable for batches taking the Class X board exams till the year 2019 – 20. The reason for the same is that the government understands the schedule of students studying the current scheme and does not want to disturb them. It has been made mandatory that all of the three languages would be the main subjects in the board exams of Class X.
