The government of Karnataka has introduced integrated public health policy in the year 2017. The introduction of Arogya, which is the universal state health coverage scheme, follows the Indian traditional health system.

Arogya has extensive healthcare coverage especially for the weaker sections of the society. Some of its schemes are

- Vajpayee Arogyashree scheme,

- Rajiv Arogya Bhagya scheme, and

- RSBY scheme.
