Difference between electron and proton

Electron has negative charge whereas proton has positive charge .

Electron and proton has same magnitude of charge but opposite .

Same magnitude of charge in electron and proton can cancel the charge effect and make the atom neutral.

Proton :

1. Protons are present in the nucleus of an atom.

2. Protons are positively charged.

3. The mass of a proton is approximately 1840 times as the mass of an electron.

4. They are closely bound.
