(i) Mahatama Gandhi strongly supported social reform for the women like declaring child marriage as a social evil and the purdah culture so that women can come united for freedom struggle.
(ii) He strongly preached for women leaders and reformers like Saroji Naidu who has campaigned against the Britishers and being a great orator lead many movement across the length and breadth of the nation. She also first time in 1931, preached for Adult franchise in the country.
(iii) The general behaviour of women to be non-violent, actually seen as a quality to captalize in the non-violence movement for freedom by Mahatama Gandhi. Thus, women particpitated in large number from Non-cooperation movement to civil disobedience movement.
(iv) Women have shown both courage and organizational skills to lead the movement against the Britishers as Annie basent advocated the emancipation of Indian women and created a home league and also Saroji Naidu lead the movement from front as she become congress head in 1925.

(vi) Women have also been the silent contributor to the freedom movement as some of them were prolific writer and thus created awareness among mass and others who run family at home so that other members can take part in the struggle against Britishers.
