Indian youth today is greatly influenced by the western ways of living.It reflects greatly in their way of perceiving,thinking and believing.The youngsters adopt western ways because they have the notion that it is very modern.Most of them think that getting sophisticated means getting westernised.
The media is one of the major factors that bring the foreign culture to the youth.The Indian youth channels like MTV, V Channel etc.simply ape the pop culture.They fail to make an identity of their own.They host programs and reality shows that manipulate the indigenous culture.
Also, with the spread of globalisation and starting of foreign investments in India,our taste in matters of food and clothing has shifted predominantly towards the western side.We have a desire for foreign jeans,foreign food like pizzas, burgers etc.Fast food culture is one of the gifts of western culture for india.
Whatsoever, the impact of western culture on India is very well shown in all the facets of India.
