Influenza and common coldare both communicable viral infections which are spreadthrough aerosols, physical contact, touching contaminated surfaces, etc. Therefore the infectionspreads very easily from an infected person to a healthy person and disease develops at a very fast rate.

Influenza or common cold spreads faster and is difficult to control because:

  • Common colds are communicable diseases. The basic symptoms of the common cold are sore throat, runny nose, coughing, sneezes, headaches, etc.
  • Most people recover from the common cold within a week. But people with weak immune systems may develop serious health issues.
  • The virus of influenza spread very quickly through the air and personal contact.
  • The problem of the common cold can be avoided by following certain awareness of washing and sanitizing hands, staying away from sick people, etc.
