Explanation:As one of the oldest churches of Nagpur standing right opposite the LIC Square, it is an important monument. Founded by Sir Stephen Hislop along with Scottish missionaries, this church is really unique. “Initially built for the British officers and their families only, it was opened for the public as India gained independence in 1947. The altar of the church has not been renovated since 1840, but the building was restructured and divided into two parts in 1920,” says a member of the church Shailesh Lazarus who adds, “We have organised a Christmas worship and get-together today for everyone.”
