It consists of antigen A and antibody b. It can receive blood from A and O.

Blood group B

It consists of antigen B and antibody a. It can receive blood from B and O.

Blood group AB

It consists of antigen A and B and no antibodies. It can receive blood from AB, A, B and O and is therefore called Universal recipient.

Blood group O

It consists of no antigen and both antibody a and b. It can donate blood to O, A, B and AB and is therefore a Universal Donor but can receive blood from only O.
