Generally sugarcane are grown by the process of stem cutting. Farmers take out the part of the stem of the sugarcane which has the bud on the part. In the field where there is the best irrigation process, they sow this type cut stem into the moist soil so as to grow the new plant. This the only type of propagation used to grow these plants.

Prime rose are also propagated by using the method of stem cutting.

Even the plump guard is also grown by the process of stem cutting.
