Madhya Pradesh (MP) state is situated in central India. The state is bordered by different states - to its northeast lies Uttar Pradesh, to its southeast lies Chhattisgarh, to its south lies Maharashtra, to its west lies Gujarat and to its northwest lies Rajasthan.
This state is popularly known as the Heart of India. MP's capital is Bhopal, and the largest city here is Indore. Madhya Pradesh is the second biggest state in India when it comes to the area. Its population is 72,597,565 (2011 census), and hence it ranks sixth in India as far as the population is considered.
Hindi is a standard language spoken in Madhya Pradesh. Besides that, people also speak various regional variants, which are also different Hindi dialects. Apart from all this, Malvi is spoken in Malwa, Nimadi is spoken in Nimar, Bundeli is spoken in Bundelkhand and Bagheli is spoken in Bagelkhand and southeast of the state. Other languages are also spoken such as Telugu, Gondi, Bhilodi (Bhili), Korku, Nihali (Nahali) and Kalto (Nahali), which the tribal groups speak. Because the Marathas had ruled this place, a substantial number of people speak Marathi here. Because Gujarat is very close to the state, many people also are familiar with Gujarati.
Agar-Malwa became the 51st district of Madhya Pradesh, as per the decision taken by the state government. It started functioning from 16 August 2013, covering 2,785 sq km and having a population of about 4,80,000. The district of Shajapur was bifurcated for this purpose, and tehsils of Nalkheda, Susner, Badoud, and Agar were included in Agar-Malwa.
There are number of national highways in the state. Some of them are NH3, NH 44, NH 12, NH 12A, NH 25, NH 26, NH 26A, NH 26B, NH 27, NH 59 A, and many more.
The major rivers in Madhya Pradesh are Narmada, Shipra and Son. The state is divided into agro-climatic zones including Kaimur Plateau and Satpura Hills, Satpura Plateau (Hills), Vindhyan Plateau (Hills), Narmada valley, Wainganga valley, Bundelkhand Region, Gird (Gwalior) Region, Malwa Plateau, Nimar Plateau, Jhabua Hills and Leeshiv.

Rajasthan (/ˈrɑːdʒəstæn/ Hindustani pronunciation: [raːdʒəsˈtʰaːn] (listen); literally, "Land of Kings")[7] is a state in northern India.[8][9][10] The state covers an area of 342,239 square kilometres (132,139 sq mi) or 10.4 percent of the total geographical area of India. It is the largest Indian state by area and the seventh largest by population. Rajasthan is located on the northwestern side of India, where it comprises most of the wide and inhospitable Thar Desert(also known as the "Rajasthan Desert" and "Great Indian Desert") and shares a border with the Pakistani provinces of Punjab to the northwest and Sindh to the west, along the Sutlej-Indus river valley. Elsewhere it is bordered by five other Indian states: Punjab to the north; Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the northeast; Madhya Pradesh to the southeast; and Gujarat to the southwest.
