  • They do not have well-differentiated body design.
  • plants in this group are commonly known as algae.
  • these are aquatic.
  • example- spirogyra,ulva etc,.

Bryophyta

  • This are also called as amphibians of the plant kingdom.
  • True vascular system is absent.
  • body is differentiated into stem and leaf-like structures.
  • They live in soil but are dependent on water for sexual reproduction.
  • examples- Liverworts and mosses.

pteridophyta

  • they are the first land plants having vascular tissues.
  • differentiated into roots, stems and have specialised tissue for conduction.
  • they are also called as vascular cryptogams.
  • they do not bear flowers.
  • they do not even produce seeds.
