Bhairavi (Hindi: भैरवी, Urdu: بَھیرَوی ‎, Sindhi: ڀيروي) is a Hindustani Classical heptatonic (Sampurna) raga of Bhairavi thaat. In Western musical terms, raga Bhairavi employs the notes of the Phrygian mode, one of the traditional European church modes. Almost all forms of indian classical music, semi classical music and light music can be sung very easily in raag bhairavi. Singers include all komal and shudhh swaras to beautify this melodious raag.
