- It is component of enzymes - catalases, peroxidases, cytochromes.
Zinc -
- It is invariably present in below metalloenzymes.
- Used for rehydration therapy in diarrhoea.
Copper -
- It is essential for RBC production & pigmentation.
- It forms important part of some metabolic enzymes.
Calcium -
- Calcium is needed for maintaining structural integrity of bone.
- It is also essential in nerve conduction & muscle contraction.
Sodium -
- It form Na-K ATPase pump to maintain osmotic balance.
- It is also essential in nerve conduction.
