MRI is Magnetic resonance imagining, it's done for soft tissue while CT is for hard tissue (bones) as cells contains ions which tend to orient in Magnetic field is when body is placed in Magnetic field the ions present in the body tend to align according to Magnetic field are imaged if there any kind of inflammation or growth of the will be shown as hyper dense foci and hypo dense foci in case of any defect.
