The central computers of the star networks are connected to a main bus. Thus, a tree network is a bus network of star networks. Logical (or signal) topology refers to the nature of the paths the signals follow from node to node. In many instances, the logical topology is the same as the physical topology.

Network topology is the arrangement of the various elements like nodes, link etc of a computer network it can be depicted physically or logically. physical topology is the placement of different components of a network where as logical topology tells about how the data flows within a network without any concern of the physical design.Their are 8 basic topologies  which are as follows:
