The Indian Government's "Mission Indradhanush", which is a universal immunization program, generated 15 million impressions through Twitter. It reached to over 4 million Twitter accounts. Not many people could benefit from this program because there was a lack of awareness about it.

This campaign was promoted over social media channels like Twitter. The Indian Government's "Anti-Plastic" campaign began with the ambitious goals of informing the public about the negative health effects of using plastic; reduce, reuse and recycle plastic; educate public about the adverse effects of using plastic which includes depletion of natural resources, pollution, etc and promote the mantra reduce, reuse and recycle, among the common public.

Through several media channels comprising both traditional and digital media .

EXPLANATION:

Information, Education and Communication (IEC) has been rightfully recognised as an essential part of policy-making procedures. Over the years, the focus of the Government Public Health Department has been to place information and communication as an intervention tool to create demand for the array of services under National Public Health Mission and several other schemes executed by the Public Health Department.

The communication strategy intends to facilitate awareness, disperse information concerning availability and accessibility to quality healthcare within the Government functioning public health system.

A prudent mix of media channels were used for information and communication such as Mass media, Outdoor media, Folk and traditional media, events, exhibitions, Social media, print media, and advocacy.
