Solution :----- let radius of inner circle is = x cm

than radius of outer circle = (x+14)cm (as path is 14cm in width)

A/q,

Let inner radius be r metres.

Then,

2πr = 440 [circumference =2πr]

r = 440×7/44 = 70 m.

Radius of outer circle = (70 + 14) m = 84m [inner radius +track wide]

diameter of the outer circle of the track 2*84 =168 m [dia=2* radius]

Ans =168m

Firstly let's find the radius

$\sf \: 440 = 2 \dfrac{22}{7}$

$\sf \: 440 = 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7}$

$\sf \: 440 = \dfrac{44}{7}$

$\sf \: r = \cancel{ 440 \times \dfrac{7}{44}}$

$\sf \: r = 10 \times 7r=10×7$

Hence :-

Radius = 70 m

$\sf \: Outer \: diameter = 2(70 + 14)$

$\sf \: Outer \: diameter = 168 \:$

Hence :-

Outer diameter = 168 m.
