pliinth area is the entire area occupied by the building including internal and external walls.

here thickness of wall =20cm=0.2m

so here total length including room length and 2 side wall length L= 4.6m+0.2m+0.2m =5m

Similarly breadth B = 3.6m +0.2m+0.2m =4m

Hence plinth area= total L× total B = 5×4 = 20m2
