Land degradation is any activity that affects the physical outlook and composition of the environment.
It is mainly pollution.
Examples of inorganic compounds are mainly polythene bags.
They do not decompose and thus when disposed in the environment, they pollute the soil affecting soil productivity.
On the other hand, radioactive degradation involves disposing radioactive wastes into the environment.
They mainly result from producing power by nuclear reaction.
Example of waste from this is Uranium which has a longer half life thus degrading the environment for a longer period.
