The steps for inserting text box on a blank slide are as follows :

1. Open the Insert tab

2. In Text group click the Text Box command

3. Click on the slide and drag the cursor until text box takes the desired width

4. Then release the mouse

5. Then click on the text box and type "welcome in it".
