Find the area of the rectangle garden:

Area = Length x Breadth

Area = 24 x 18 = 432 m²

Find the area of the inner rectangle:

Area = Length x Breadth

Area = (24 - 2 - 2)x (18 - 2 - 2) = 280 m²

Find the area of the plot used to plant tulips:

Area = 432 - 280 = 152 m²

Find the number of tulips planted:

1 m² = 4 tulips

152 m² = 4 x 152 = 608 tulips

Find the cost of the tulips:

1 tulip = 30

608 tulips = 30 x 608 = Rs 18,240

Answer: The cost is Rs 18,240
