Insulin dependent diabetes is caused by the degeneration of beta calls of due to a defective gene

It occurs mainly when the liver starts to convert the stored glycogen to glucose. Consequently it increases glucose level causing diabetes mellitus. Beta cells of the pancreas tries to take it back to its original condition. But if DEGENERATION of beta cells occurs then diabetes becomes serious.
