Intensive fish farming can be done in composite fish culture systems. In such a system five or

six species of fish is used in a single pond. One problem with such composite fish culture is

that many of these fish breed only during monsoon. A major problem in fish farming is the

lack of availability of good quality seed. To overcome this problem ways have now being

worked out to breed these fish in ponds using hormonal stimulation.

13) What is composite fish culture?

14) What is the major problem in fish farming?

15) How can we overcome this problem?
