HEY THERE:

________________

Sclerenchyma tissue is dead simple tissue that is present in the plants.

The cells of this type of tissue are closed packed with no intercellular space in between such as a mosaic floor.

This results in giving it rigidity, strength and elasticity to the plants that help in keeping in standing and withstand all the strains.

Schlerenchyma are dead tissues that provide mechanical support to plants. This is the reason they dont have intercellular sapcea and are packed tightly.
