Interfacial properties of suspended particles:
The interfacial properties of suspended particles are as follows, as a particle tends to communicate with another particle, the ‘surface area’ of the particle increases and thereby it becomes highly unstable with a ‘large amount of energy’.
Hence these particles get a lot of energy and try to agglomerate with another particle in order to reduce the surface area around them and to stabilize their thermodynamic instability. Adding of surfactants in this group can reduce the amount of tension between them.
