SOLIDS

1) They have definite shape and volume

Eg = Table

2) They have many free surface

Eg = Duster

3) They cannot flow

Eg = Chair

LIQUIDS

1) They have definite volume but not definite shape

Eg = When a water is kept in glass and then in bucket then it take different shapes

2) They can flow

Eg = When we pour water on grond it start flowing

3) They have one free surface

Eg = If we keep water in a bucket then at the top of the vessel there is one free surface

GASES

1) They do not have definite shape and volume

Eg = None of the gases have shape and volume

2) They have no free surface

Eg = Since they are in gaseous form they do not have any free surface

3) They can flow

Eg = When air blows
