The internal resistance to flow the liquid is Viscosity.

This is a factor which is dependent over a particular temperature as it decreases usually with an increase in the latter. This is what makes honey to flow slowly and water to flow quick as the former is viscous than the latter.

The internal resistance is the ability of the molecules inside the liquid to move or rather rearrange themselves to pass a given position.
