Wearing of Personal Protective Equipment such as safety goggles and latex gloves (if gloves are ripped, replace with new ones)2. Loose clothing and hair is tied back to avoid any potential hazards3. Remove binders, bags, and other unnecessary objects, off the lab bench and away from the aisles to avoid clutter 4. Carrying scalpels, knives, and other sharp objects point-downward by their handles5. Remain standing for the duration of the dissection 6. Stay with dissected heart until dissection period is over, thereby it would be time to clean up and making sure equipment is put away7. Always wait for further instructions from the teacher; never work without teacher supervision 8. Washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water, after the dissection Procedure1. Making sure all group members have gotten safety goggles, and each member is wearing it2. Making sure all group members are wearing latex gloves before beginning3. Retrieve dissection tray and place paper napkins on top of the tray to absorb preservent liquid that may come from the heart 4. Retrieve dissection tools: a probe, a knife, a pair of scissors, and a scalpel5. Receive sheep heart from the teacher; he/she will place it on your dissecting tray6. Bring tray back to lab bench7.
