 My grandparent’s house is situated in a remote village which is far away from my house. But during Pongal celebration, we used to visit their house once every year and spend few days with them. Last year, my grandfather told that: earlier Pongal was celebrated with a small scale and it was known as the social or community occasion. On the other part, my grandmother replied that: it was really fund when they used to spend some time outside of their home and they used to share foods and gifts with their relatives during the Pongal celebration.
