Don't let the fear of failing triumph over the joy of participating.

Good Morning. Respected jury members, teachers, and my dear friends. Today I Numera of class 7th has been provided with a golden opportunity to deliver a speech on "Winning is not so important as participation ."

Winning for no doubt sounds mesmerizing and like a dream come true, but has anyone ever given a thought beyond that trophy ?

It will be not new to listen that winning is the only desire of a person. Every other person over here participate to win. No one gives importance to the experience they attained from the competition, and it is natural. People have an ideology that if they don't win then the image they have will get degraded. But it isn't like that.

If I talk about myself then I feel that Learning is an ongoing process, whether you learnt something from reality check or any other platform.

According to me, participation is more important than winning as it gives a platform to experience something new. It gives you a platform to encounter something new. It is important for a person to extend his/her limits to explore the world to a next level. If you are not able to win a competition then I am sure next time you will come up with a boost and will perform with a better performance.

Remember:-

1) Participate .                                                                                                                 2) Give your best in attaining the goal.                                                                   3) If you win, then celebrate but if not then learn from your mistakes, realize where you lacked and work on those things which could have given you success.

A very important thing to remember is : A person learn from his/her failures only. There is no such successful person who has never failed in his life.

Winning for no doubt gives immense pleasure, but what gives more happiness is the beautiful experience you had and some knowledge that you gained. That experience will only help you to achieve your goals. It need a lot of courage to participate and showcase your talent. Not everyone is able to collect that courage in him/herself .

What is more important ?

To win ? or to become a strong personality ?

Off course , it is important to become a strong personality. A person who has won all the competitions might some day become boastful and might get a tone of arrogance in his speech but a person who failed one day and stood the next day to try even harder and then win is the person who values a success and this is how he/she becomes bold and strong. Success turns to be more sweet when one has given his best to achieve it.

At last, I would like to say that "Participation is one of the best methods of getting a quality education."

"Doing your best is more important than being the best."

Thank You for being a proficient listener.

Winning is not everything but there is a requirement of something to measure one’s performance. Every competition is an opportunity for self empowerment no matter you win or lose, but your participation matters a lot.

All the participants cannot be winners but when you decide to participate, you are gifting yourself with a golden opportunity for showcasing your talents in front of everyone. It’s a great chance to understand your own strengths and weaknesses and helps you to take proper measures to correct your own mistakes and explore yourself to get the best out of you next time.

When your emphasise is only on winning, unknowingly you are developing a fear for failure. Each failure is an experience and let’s learn to celebrate our failures more than our success. This attitude will definitely boost your confidence and make you more matured to deal with probable problems.

When you decide to participate in a competition, you are getting an opportunity to meet and interact with new people, learning new things and developing new skills. It’s chance given for self challenge.
