intro to the daffodils poem

Short insight
The poem Daffodils has been written by William Wordsworth .
He was travelling in a lonely field beside a lake and suddenly he noticed a group of daffodils which were lined up beside the lake .
These daffodils were so numerous in number that the poet compared them with the stars of the Milky Way.
They were told to be golden in colour as they were very beautiful in the eyes of the poet .
The daffodils were sprightly dancing and moving to and fro with the motion of the wind.
The waves were also moving.
But the poet thought that the movement of the daffodils were much attractive than the moving waves of the lake.
The poet also mentioned that the daffodils were so beautiful that even when the poet is in lonely and in sad mood, he becomes joyous and happy when he is reminded of these daffodils.
The daffodils flash that "inward eye" and this makes the poet happy and keeps him in company .
