Make it very simple and straight forward. Try and avoid all the adjectives you would like to use.
Instead of saying - ‘I am good at singing’ - it is better to say - ‘I can sing’ or ‘I have learnt some music, and I can sing’. (This is just an illustration to show how adjectives can be avoided.)
Adjectives, especially, when used to refer to oneself, are jarring, and the listener does not like it. But this does not mean, you should hide your talents, but you should put across these capabilities as mildly as possible. Modesty is often appreciated better than a sense of pride in a person.
