Iodized salt means it contain an essential nutrient which is Iodine that plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy thyroid. On the other hand, common salt doesn’t contain sufficient amount of iodine in it.

Iodized salt is another name for table salt. Table salt contains additionally added amount of iodine in it.

Our body requires iodine to produce thyroid hormones which play multiple roles in our body such as tissue repair, regulate metabolism and promote growth and development.
