ionisation potential increase in period as going twards right. why??​

The electronegativity of the elements increases from left to right. Ionisation potential is the energy required to transfer an electron from the valent shell. As we move from left to right the tendency of atoms to lose electrons increases so Ionisation potential also increases.

elements with higher Zeff have more ionisation energy. And Z effective increases on moving from left to right
