Indian Premier League

The Indian Premier League (IPL), officially Vivo Indian Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional Twenty20 cricketleague in India contested during April and May of every year by teams representing Indian cities and some states. The league was founded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2008, and is regarded as the brainchild of Lalit Modi, the founder and former commissioner of the league.[3] IPL has an exclusive window in ICC Future Tours Programme.[4]

Indian Premier League of 2018 also known as IPL 11, was first established in 2007 by BCCI.  In 2018 it was held from 7 April till 7 May. This season saw the return of Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings after two years.

In this season against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings won by eight wickets. However, captain Kane Williamson of Sunrisers Hyderabad won the orange cap of being the run scorer with 735 runs. Also, from Kings XI Punjab, Andrew Tye won the purple cap for being the leading wicket-taker. The most valuable player was named to Sunil Narine from Kolkata Knight Riders or as Man of the Series.
