The solution in the beaker is of copper sulphate that is CuSO4.

This type of reaction is displacement reaction in which more reactive atom that is iron(Fe) displaces copper from its solution to form ferrous sulphate and copper free radicals.

The initial solution is of copper sulphate and is blue in colour as soon as we add iron fillings to it iron being more reactive than copper displaces copper from its solution and form ferrous sulphate solution.

The solution initially which was blue in colour now the colour changes to green as ferrous sulphate is formed and copper ion are displaced as free copper ions.
