Iron is an element which plays a vital role in the development of the respiratory pigment HAEMOGLOBIN of Red Blood Corpuscles. Haemoglobin is responsible for transport of Oxygen to the cells and tissues and transport of Carbon dioxide from the cells to the outside.

Hence, iron is needed; It is essential for our body.
